A prolific burglar who has been breaking into Manchester City Centres business during early hours of the morning has been charged and remanded for nine offences for burglary in the City Centre, one on the Manchester North district, a count of theft of motor vehicle and dangerous drive.
The suspect, who thought it was a great idea to drive a stolen car this Saturday night was pursued by our TVIU units and arrested following failing to stop and dangerous drive as well as stealing the motor vehicle. When he was taken to custody, officers were made aware of his detention and interviewed him for a further 10 burglary offences, 9 of which were in the City Centre. The suspect had persistently targeted stores, breaking and entering between the hours of 04:00 until 08:00, smashing and breaking windows and doors as he gained his entry having clear disregard to peoples property.
Following an investigation from the Violence Reduction and Exploitation Team he has since pled guilty to all burglary charges and will be sentenced following his remand. He continues to stay on remand, safe from the bounds of the city. A criminal behaviour order is sought and in progress following the investigation. | ||
